EDF’s mandatory tender offer on Edison

CONSOB, the Italian financial markets authority, has authorized on June 27, 2012 EDF’s subsidiary Transalpina di Energia S.r.l to launch a mandatory tender offer on the ordinary shares of Edison S.p.A that EDF does not own (1 003 045 298 shares representing 19.36 % of the company’scapital) at a price of €0.89 per share.

The acceptance period will begin on July 2, 2012 and end on August 3, 2012, subject to possible extension.

The EDF Group, one of the leaders in the European energy market, is an integrated energy company active in all areas of the business: generation, transmission, distribution, energy supply and trading. The Group is the leading electricity producer in Europe. In France, it has mainly nuclear and hydraulic production facilities where 96.5% of the electricity output is CO2-free.
