The Fem’Energia prize has two categories:
- The "Student" category is for young women who want a career in nuclear energy. 3 prizes will be awarded: the first for secondary school students taking the "nuclear environment" professional baccalauréat, the second for students in the 2nd and 3rd years of post-baccalauréat study and the third for students in the 4th, 5th and subsequent years of post-baccalauréat study.
- The "Women working in the nuclear sector" category is for women under 40 years of age already working in the nuclear industry (site managers, supervisors, project managers, etc) and/or those who are involved in activities promoting women in the nuclear industry. One prize will be awarded for women working in France and a second for those working in Europe.
Two types of prize will be awarded on 15 October 2010 by a jury made up of representatives of EDF, WIN France and from the academic world:
- For the "Students" there are three grants of €2,000, accompanied by the offer of an apprenticeship contract, a professional development or training contract, or assistance in finding a first job.
- For the "Women in work" the prize consists of a trip for two people to the United States with a visit to a nuclear power station.
The application forms can be downloaded as of today from the
www.edfrecrute.com site. The closing date for receipt of applications is 20 April.

Training will therefore be the focus of an updated, more ambitious and more coherent policy to meet the current challenges of the sector, namely: recruitment requirements, new skills, and knowledge transfer between the generations. In particular this policy will call for a dialogue with the trade unions, which will be initiated within the Group in France in the coming weeks, with the first results showing from the end of the first half of 2010.
