EDF and Amundi set up a partnership in asset management aimed at financing energy transition
The EDF Group, a leader in low carbon energy, and Amundi, the European leader in asset management, are pleased to announce their partnership for the creation of a joint asset management company1. The prime purpose of this company will be to raise funds from institutional and retail investors and to manage on behalf of third parties funds intended to finance projects relating to energy transition.

Agreements for planned Hinkley Point C nuclear power station approved by the European Commission
The European Commission has approved the terms of agreements between EDF Group and the UK Government to build a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C in Somerset. Its decision followed a rigorous and detailed examination of the deal during a 12 month investigation led by European Commission.
EDF in Beijing for the opening of the Formula E World Championship
EDF will be in Beijing on September 12th-13th, 2014, for the first race out of ten of the Formula E 2014-2015 Championship. As Official Technical Supplier of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the EDF Group will send two experts of its R&D team to Beijing, to follow the race and conduct audits of electrical safety, transmission and charging systems and of the related procedures.
Heysham 1 nuclear power station boiler findings
One of the two reactors at Heysham 1 nuclear power station operated by EDF Energy has been shut down since 11 June for refuelling and to allow investigations to take place on one of its eight boiler units. This followed tests which took place during a period of planned maintenance and inspection in 2013.

Carbon footprint: EDF halves its CO2 emissions in France
In its commitment to fight climate change, EDF is taking a major step forward in the management of its carbon footprintby halving its CO2 emissions in France by 2016. This amounts to a total reduction of 12 million tonnes of CO2 between1990 and 2016, as the result of an ongoing, voluntary industrial policy implemented by EDF in France and by the wholeGroup on an international level. Over the same period, electricity production has risen by 26% (annual production of 469TWh compared with 371 TWh in 1990).
