EDF Energies Nouvelles is announcing the commissioning of additional capacity at the Arada-Montemuro (9.2 MW) and São Pedro (2 MW) wind farms in Portugal. These extensions have increased the combined capacity of these two facilities to 133 MW.
Compliance of Flamanville 3 equipment with the new Order on nuclear pressure equipment
The manufacturing processes used on Flamanville 3 reactor vessel are compliant with the mechanical requirements implemented and validated for the French nuclear reactor program. The robustness of this process is demonstrated through the 1,700 nuclear reactor years of good operations.
Flamanville EPR : qualification tests continue on reactor vessel
AREVA and EDF have informed the French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) that a new series of tests is underway as of April 2015 for the qualification of the Flamanville EPR reactor vessel head and bottom. This series of tests follows chemical and mechanical tests performed on a representative model of the reactor vessel head and bottom.

Paris, February 25th, 2015 – Pursuing the development of its international operations EDF Energies Nouvelles announces its first step into South America, by setting up a local subsidiary in Brazil, EDF EN do Brasil.
EDF Energies Nouvelles has purchased a portfolio of wind energy development projects from SOWITEC, one of the leading international renewable energy developers, with a total capacity of about 800 MW, including 70 MW already entitled to sign a regulated Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
