The EDF Group joins Eletronorte and CHESF in Brazil for the construction of the SINOP hydroelectric dam
Rio, 12th December 2014 – EDF, through its affiliate EDF Norte Fluminense, takes a 51% participation in SINOP Energy Company (CES), in charge of constructing and operating the 400MW SINOP hydroelectric dam. This site will be based upstream of several hydroelectric structures on the Teles Pires river, in Northern Mato Grosso, Brazil (close to the city of Sinop). The two other stakeholders are EletroNorte (24.5%) and CHESF (24.5%), both holdings of Eletrobras.
Payment of an interim cash dividend of €0.57 per share for 2014 fiscal year

The prime purpose of this company will be to raise funds from institutional and retail investors and to manage on behalf of third parties funds intended to finance projects relating to energy transition.
